Every receipt you scan helps facturillo learn what things cost in Panama. On top of that come the prices stores publish in their own online stores. With both sources together, the app builds price information you can use to compare before you buy and to check whether you paid a good price.
From your receipts to the comparison
What you can compare
facturillo shows you prices in three ways, depending on what you want to do.
Price per product. Search a product by name or scan its barcode to see the prices facturillo has for it and how they have changed over time.
Bought at the best price. When you open a product from one of your receipts, facturillo compares what you paid with online prices, so you know whether you bought at the best price.
Prices near you. See a product's prices at nearby stores on a map, so you can choose where it is worth shopping.
Where the prices come from
facturillo works with two sources, and every price tells you which one it came from:
The stores' own online stores. facturillo checks the catalogs the chains publish on their own site every day. These prices carry the ONLINE STORE label with the date they were updated, and from there you can tap Ir a tienda to see them on the store's page.
The receipts people scan across Panama. These are prices actually paid at a specific store. In the app they show up as Seen on a receipt, with how long ago that was.
Keep in mind
Prices are approximate, drawn from recent user purchases and public online data. Amounts may include or exclude VAT depending on the retailer. Always confirm the current price and taxes in store.
A facturillo price is a reference, not an official store price: it can change between the website and the shelf, vary by promotion or by branch, or come from data a few days old.
Baskets: buy your list for less
A basket is a list of products you put together, for example your usual grocery run. facturillo works out the cheapest way to buy the whole basket, at a single store or split between the two that suit you best, with prices that refresh every 24 hours.
The Gratis plan has a limit on baskets and on products per basket. With Pro PRO you can create more baskets and add more products to each one, and you can also see prices near you.

Tip
The more receipts you and other people scan, the better the price information gets. Receipt prices reflect what was actually paid at a specific store, and online-store prices tell you what the chain is publishing today.
Start comparing
On the home screen, scroll to the quick-access row (Favoritos · Canastas · Radar de Precios), which sits below the main card and above Facturas Recientes. Tap the Radar de Precios tile (Price Radar when the app is in English) to search any product, see its price, and open the prices-near-you map.
