Sometimes a receipt's QR will not scan because it is blurry, wrinkled, or poorly printed. When that happens, you can add the receipt by typing the CUFE by hand. facturillo processes it just like a receipt scanned with the camera.

What the CUFE is

The CUFE (Unique Electronic Invoice Code) is the code that identifies each electronic invoice in Panama. It is printed on the receipt, usually near the QR, as a long row of numbers and letters. It is unique to each receipt, so copying it correctly is enough for the DGI to find it.

How to add the CUFE by hand

1

Open the scanner and tap «Type the CUFE» when the QR does not work. You can also reach this screen from the manual entry option.

2

Type the CUFE exactly as it appears on the receipt. The app validates the code as you type, so you know when it is complete and correct.

3

When the code is valid, tap «Create transaction». facturillo looks the receipt up at the DGI and adds it to your list.

If the code is not valid

Check that you copied every character, with no extra spaces and without changing any number or letter. If the receipt is too damaged to read the full CUFE, keep the paper receipt and try again in better light, or contact us for help.

Tip

Copy the CUFE carefully. A single wrong character means the DGI will not find the receipt, even when everything else is right.

Once the receipt is added, it follows the same path as a scanned receipt. If it takes a while to appear, that is normal, it is processing while the DGI confirms its details.
